After having eaten the dirt, er, I mean mole pancakes from Hugo’s for Mother’s Day…I realized that I should have gotten my tried and true favorite – the oatmeal fritatta. So this weekend, in order to erase the bad food experience from my mind, we went really early on Saturday to Hugo’s to get my fritatta. And my applewood smoked bacon. And my decaf coffee. And my brown bread roll with my pat of butter….mole whaaaat? Bad food memory – you’ve been terminated!
Saturday afternoon was my little sister Dawn’s 30th Birthday party. That’s right I said 30! Pretty crazy I have a YOUNGER sister that is at an age I never thought *I* would get to. It was nice to see nearly all of my close family and friends, plus Maya’s buddies, Lucas and Greyson (the Padua twins!). All the babies were a big hit with the big people – and most importantly the birthday girl had a good time!
Sunday I redeemed my Mother’s Day Gift Certificate for a deep tissue massage at Ra, a spa in Burbank. The lovely lady who did my massage, Stephanie, was the same one who did one of my pregnancy massages while Maya was still baking. I had her work on my legs, hips and lower back as that has what has been bothering me the most since she came out. And wow, did she work me! I am still sore but I know its good for me…
Other than that, grocery store, laundry and a bad movie (Clive Owen has now disappointed me 2x. Derailed and Duplicity. Perhaps he should avoid movies that start with the letter “D”.)
