30 Days of Thanks – Day 11 (Veteran’s Day)

It should go without saying – but today I’m thankful for all of those who have served this country, here and abroad. I understand that their and their families’ sacrifice affords me the opportunity to enjoy all of the privileges we have here.  And I am grateful for their sacrifice, even if I disagree with the politics behind their fighting.

  1. So say we all…

My grandfather fought and survived World War I… I believe he was in the trenches in France… he was shooting at the Germans and the Germans were, of course, shooting back… my grandfather got the order to go over the top… which means certain death… and he survived because the Germans stopped to reload their guns.

It always makes me stop and think and wonder…
