They say feed what you want to grow, right? So for today – recognize a job well done. Not only is it nice for the other person to hear that they’ve done well, it feels good to say it…and it can inspire more good things to happen along the way.
Here are a few ways for you to do this, for kids and people of all ages:
Give a high-five
Give a hug or a kiss, or both
Express your pride verbally, privately
Express your pride via social media – give them a shout out!
Write them a quick note to show how you feel
Give them a sticker
Take them out for a coffee, ice cream or frozen yogurt (or some other favorite treat)
Tell them in front of the “team”
Try to figure out what their “love language” is before doing this…something that means the most to you, won’t necessarily mean the most to them. If you’re not familiar with what I’m talking about, check THIS out.

Stay tuned during the month of April to see other ways in which you can incorporate kindness into your daily life and encourage others to do the same…I’ll return to my senses on May 1.
